The Wheels on the Bourbon Bus Are Moving Again!

Join us for our “off season” Event and Take a Bus to Bourbon Country!  This is an OPEN event, so invite your friends and family if they are interested!

When: January 17-19th 2025

Where:  Bus departs at 8:30am on the 18th from the Clarion, 1950 Newton Pike, Lexington KY (Attached to Sedona Tap House).  Executive bus will be driven by Mint Julep Tours.

What:  The bus will visit Bulleit Distilling, Woodford Reserve Distillery and  Larrikin Bourbon Company-  If you would like to book a formal tours of the distilleries,  the Mint Julep Tours will pre-purchase the tour tickets.  I will send an email a couple of weeks before the Bus to assess interest in the tours.

Bulleit Distillery- (Visit approximately 1hour 45 minutes) Frontier Whiskey Experience | Kentucky Bourbon Trail® | Bulleit

The visitor center is open with a retail shop, cocktail bar and outdoor patio and is FREE to all visitors.  There are tours/tastings for purchase. (See Below)

Frontier Whiskey Distillery Tour $25- 1 hour
Unlocking the Senses- Portfolio Tasting $20- 30 minutes
Bulleit and Beer Tasking with West Sixth Brewing- (Bar snacks and Gift bag included) $50, 1 hour
Smoked Old Fashioned Class- $45, 1 hour

Woodford Reserve- (Visit approximately 1 hours 45 minutes) Our Distillery - Woodford Reserve

The distillery is open for retail store and bar visits for FREE. Tastings for a small charge are available with no reservations. See tours available for purchase below.

Path to Flavor Tour- $35-70 minutes, involves walking, includes tasting
Spectacle for the Senses Tasting- $25- 45 minutes (flavor pairing, includes a simple bite)
Classic Mixology- $50, learn to make classic bourbon cocktails, get a souvenir glass with class

Larrikin Bourbon Co.- (Visit approximately 1 hour) Our Larrikin Spirits — Larrkin Bourbon Co.

Boutique bourbon distillery- the owner is frequently present (Veteran owned) and they have a unique walk-in cigar Humidor.  They have a tasting room and do impromptu tours, no charge.

The day will be a 9 hour day (8:30 to 5:30) and there will be a lunch stop for approximately 1 ½ hour.  The lunch stop will be unknown until we know how many people will be attending.

If you don’t want to spend the night Friday night, you can come down early Saturday morning and meet us in the Clarion parking lot, if you don’t want to spend the night Saturday, you can go home.  Flexibility is the word of the day!  The Sedona Tap Room has a wonderful menu, and we will be eating there both Friday and Saturday evenings.  They also have a nice bar and a huge selection of craft beer.

Cost for the BUS- This is the tricky part.  The pricing is by how many guests attend, so please SIGN UP by November 30th   and put your guests on the blog, the more we have, the better the price will be for all!  I am confident that we can get up to 27 as the last time we did it, only 24 people fit in the party bus, and I had to turn people away.

The cost per person includes the tour guide, transportation, fuel and bottled water and ice.  You can drink alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on the bus (please bring a cup with a lid).
