What: Twisties Discussion and Practice

Date: Saturday, April 12, 2025

Where: Powder Keg Harley-Davidson HOG Room

Time: 1:30 pm

Description: The discussion will cover how to approach and negotiate curves. Topics will include braking, counter steer, throttle control, and more. The discussion is planned to last 30 minutes. Following a short break, the riders will attend a ride briefing at 2:15. Th ride will provide an opportunity to practice the techniques covered in the discussion. The ride will last a little over an hour, having the group back around 3:45 pm. A short debrief will follow the ride giving members the chance to ask questions.

Lunch: Riders from the Group Riding Discussion and Practice, the mornign class, will be eating lunch from 12:30-1:30. Riders only participating in the Twisties Discussion and Practice are encouraged to join the members from the Group Riding Discussion and Practice for lunch. Lunch can be Jimmy Johns, something brought from home, or whatever other arrangements people want to make for eating.

Cost: Lunch and gas

*DISCLAIMER* This is not a class or course and there are no instructors. It’s merely chapter members getting together to talk about riding motorcycles through turns and curves and then going on a ride.

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
